A few minutes later Jessica came home.

“Hey Jessica.” I said as she walked in pretending to read one of my textbooks.

“Hey,” she nodded. She looked around with a confused look on her face, “Why are your panties in the middle of the room?”

I guess I was in a hurry to get dressed and left them there.

“Oh, I was about to do laundry.” I offer my best excuse.

“Okay, I was worried that Luke had come over.”

“Nope, just me and my boring books.”

I smiled and pretend to go back to studying. My mind continued to wander about the events earlier and excitement over having Luke back in my life. The chemistry between us was so strong. But, our little break apart was torture for me. I couldn’t imagine having to go through that again. I wanted so badly for him to be sincere this time.
